The Village – Soho London has had a Major Audio Visual upgrade by its new owners – Stonegate Pub Company
The Iconic LGBTQ Venue was one of the first in Londons Soho
The extensive upgrade has seen Products from BSS, Martin Audio and Chauvet bring the venue to life
The main feature is the new pixel mapped led ceiling batterns with full RGB color mixing
The Lighting is controlled from Showcad Artist software
As Part of our ongoing relationship with Stonegate Pub Company we were asked to provide audio solution for the Premises being converted to the successful Popworld brand.
The AV installation was Designed by MSL’s own Toby Jones in October and Installed in November. The audio system is based around a Martin Audio Blackliner X Series Sound System, with BSS Audio Blu Series Signal Processing and Zone Control. The Audio System is complimented by Lighting Equipment from Chauvet, and Controlled by SHowcad Artist DMX Lighting Control Software.
All the products we installed here as at all of the sites we work at are chosen becuase they meet a specific critera and are a match for the job at hand. In particular we are looking for Reliable, Good Quality and Performance at the price point required by the particular project.
Since opening the site has been a massive success in the town – already exceeding the performance of the site before being transformed to the Popworld brand
Luna Croydon has received the MSL upgrade treatment

MSL were chosen for the Sound and Lighting Upgrade at the Prestigious Flagship Venue of Novus Leisure in London
Tiger Tiger’s haymarket site covering some 18 000 Sq Feet first opened in 1998 and is the Largest and Flagship site of the Brand
MSL’s upgrade features Sound Equipment from Martin Audio, Powersoft and BSS, whilst a large inventory of Lighting from Chauvet Proffesional.
Lighting Control is handled by 3 Systems of Showcad Artist for the Various rooms and the Main Tiger Bar features a Led Video Wall behind the Bar, Seperated by illuminsted pillars. This is controlled by Madrix Control software
The Plan B site in Brixton has been taken on by Steve Ball and the Columbo Group and has been Rebranded to become Phonox Nightclub
The Large site is planning on hosting some of the hotest DJ talent of the moment. With 2 rooms featuring bespoke decore that Columbo Group are well know for
The Installation consisted of a large quantiy of existing Funktion One Loudspeakers
Processing has been upgraded to BSS Audio Blu Series along with Powersoft Amplification
The Lighting system comprises of a large quantity of Chauvet R1x beams, 10 beam red laser batterns, 10 Sun Strips behind the DJ Booth and a Huge mirror ball in the center of the dancefloor

The Large Ark Manchester site is built around 2 Railways Arches side by side
Just a stones throw away from the now defunct – Hacienda Club, now converted to Apartments and named appropriately Hacienda Apartments
The Ceiling is the classic red brick railway arch and was crying out to be uplit with RGB Led Lighting
This was done using Chauvet Proffesional Products

Middlesex Sound and Lighting continue their long standing relationship with Hawksmoor – designing and installing a multi zone audio system using Martin Audio speakers, Cloud processing and Yamaha Amplification. Located in an Art Deco room overlooking Regent Street, the menu at Hawksmoor Air Street is equally-weighted between steak and seafood. We’ve teamed up with Mitch Tonks, the chef/owner of one of the best seafood restaurants in the country, to mastermind the fish side of things, not least by ensuring that we receive the freshest produce possible straight from Brixham Market in Devon…
Middlesex Sound and Lighting complete installation of LED Festoon lighting solution at The Store and Little Something for Butlins Bognor Regis. Over 450 colour changing LED fixtures were installed, programmed and powered using a brand new LED lighting solution Glasson Electronics.
Building on an established working relationship with Michael Jones from the Horns, a venue that MSL completed earlier in 2012, Project Manager Bradley Watson designed and supplied a new loudspeaker and control system to the newly launched Golden Bee above the Horns on Singer Street in the Capital’s Old Street area. The Golden Bee – the brainchild of Jones and colleague Billie Chandler, is located on the first and second floor of the Singer Street site in Old Street, and boasts a main bar with plush interior design by Darren Grape of Grapes Design, a covered outdoor terrace, and a 100 capacity open air roof terrace…
A local community Junior School located close to the MSL offices; Roxbourne Junior School contacted MSL as the music department were looking at bringing their antiquated school hall PA system up to date.

Following a number of reactive maintenance calls to one of the London’s emerging concept pub companies, MSL have now completed the background audio refit at the latest edition to the Morton Scott stable, the Sun Tavern in London’s Covent Garden.
Long standing client Stanmore College have commissioned MSL to design and install a brand new stage lighting system at their large site in Middlesex. The current equipment was due for renewal at the College’s main multipurpose space, and working closely with the drama and technical departments, MSL project Manager Darrel Olivier produced and delivered comprehensive stage lighting and associated lighting control specification, along with all the necessary mains provision and dimming capabilities…

The expanding Colombo Group, headed by former fabric co-founder Steve Ball and Riz Shaikh, recently added its first live/dance club to a portfolio of London bars and gastro-pubs.
After interviewing a number of potential web design companies, and following conversations between MSL Project Manager Bradley Watson and Gary Holman, Cyber Interactive were commissioned in the spring of 2011 to completely re-design the Middlesex Sound & Lighting website.
Adding yet another accreditation to our portfolio, late in 2010, Middlesex Sound & Lighting began the assessment period to become an ISO9001 Quality Assured Company.
