Stanmore College Receive New Stage Lighting Equipment

Posted on May 25 2011 at 4:50 pm

Long standing client Stanmore College have commissioned MSL to design and install a brand new stage lighting system at their large site in Middlesex.

The current equipment was due for renewal at the College’s main multipurpose space, and working closely with the drama and technical departments, MSL project Manager Darrel Olivier produced and delivered comprehensive stage lighting and associated lighting control specification, along with all the necessary mains provision and dimming capabilities.

The antiquated equipment was removed from the site and replaced with 6 new 10 and 12 metre internally wired lighting bars, offering multiple 15amp and 16amp hard wired mains sockets.

The new lighting bars were mechanically installed into the ceiling space, and also benefitted from DMX data cabling to inter link the bars. 160 metres of 19 way Socapex mains distribution cabling was used to connect the new lighting bars and wall boxes to the existing control position.

The venues old dimming packs were replaced with 48 channels of dimming supplied by compact and efficient Light Processor Dimension dimmers with a Pulsar DMX buffer providing the signal to the new lighting bars.

The obsolete lighting desk was also replaced with a new Zero 88 Jester 48 channel memory lighting console, a perfect match for the new dimmers.
