Middlesex Sound & Lighting were tasked with converting the existing “Club Vision” venue into one of Stonegate pub company’s twin scene night venues “Popworld & Zinc”.
To enable Stonegate to obtain the very best value for their allocated budget, We surveyed the existing venue thoroughly and took the decision to re-use the existing RCF Event 1000 speaker system, amalgamating all speakers into a powerful pop/Dance focused system for the main Popworld venue, The secondary Bar area in Popworld is served with new martin Audio X8’s & SX112 Subs. As for the rest of the site – Public corridors & walkways are bolstered by the Martin A40 whilst the external customer areas are driven with Yamaha VS speakers.
To match the demanding power & clarity required for the Sound in the Zinc Venue, we designed & installed a Martin Audio Blackline speaker system. Using X15’s for the main area & X8’s as periphery in-fills, All Dance areas were reinforced using existing RCF 1018 Subs.
The audio in both Venues is controlled, processed & protected by BSS Soundweb BLU100 system, with the power for the main drivers coming from new Yamaha PX series Amplifiers,
Periphery & Public areas are powered by re-using the Existing Behringer EP Amplification. Both DJ units are served with Pioneer DJ Mixers & CDJ’s, and both having EV powered DJ monitors.
Using venue independent ShowCAD lighting controlled systems, Popworld has been provided with a variety of Chauvet, Equinox and Highlite lighting effects (Intimidator Scans, Intimidator Spots & Cloudburst to name a few) along with a Chauvet haze machine.
For the Zinc room we installed Highlite Wipe-Out 4-360’s, Highlite Octostrip mk2 pixel strips again supported by a Chauvet haze machine. The Pixel wall Feature in Zinc comprises of 10 x Chauvet Vivid 4 LED Panels, with Graphics supplied by Mediamaster Express 5 Software. Both venues have RGB LED tape to Back bars & Wall features, all ShowCAD controlled.
The Media content for both venues are via independent Wyrestorm HD distribution to various size TVs supplied & installed by us. In Popworld we also installed a HD input for karaoke & an HD Pan & Tilt camera to project live images to the Popworld screens.
